Gimbals, motion control and simulated travel are used more readily as films take on a new life on Stage and Volume sets - but these events are not just limited to VFX crossovers.
Refined in-camera motion adds an element of realism in a VFX heavy set and can substantially
reduce the requirements for VFX when applied well.
The DOFX range of rotating rigs, automation for set-pieces/props, and vehicle simulated travel equipment supersedes the most ambitious expectations and have been used to great effect in productions such as Marvel's Shang Chi, Mad Max: Fury Road, Pacific Rim: Uprising and more recently on The Fall Guy.
